Fey-Born Elf

Physical Description
While similar to standard elves in physical build, standing at around four to 5 foot tall, the fey-born are blessed with unearthly grace and beauty. Their bodies mature by the age of 20 while they continue to age mentally until they reach 100. While they remain in the Feywild fey-born are immortal, seemingly capable of living as long as they are not mortally injured.

The Settling

Should they choose to enter the material plane, they can go through a 'settling period', that will leave them in a weakened state for weeks or months. Many fey-born do not like the idea of being vulnerable while they undergo this readjustment and as such, most never undertake the journey into the material place. Should a fae choose to pass over and endure the settling, they are to become mortal, and have the lifespan only slightly longer than that of humans, until they return to the feywilds. The fey-born can travel to and from the Feywilds, when they return their ageing stops while in the Feywilds but resumes once they leave again. Each time incurring a settling period.

Prevalence

Due to The Settling, Fey-born Elves are extremely rare in the material realm as it is rare for Fey-born to willingly give up their extended lifespans. Those that do decide to live in the material plane often find it easier to blend in as a normal elf. So the few fey-born that do live outside of the feywilds often go undetected.

Fey-Born Elf Traits

Ability Score Increase

Your Dexterity and Charisma scores each increase by 2.

Fey

Your creature type is both humanoid and fey. Additionally, you have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic cannot put you to sleep.

Fey Life

"It is thought that a fey-born's ageing process stops once they reach physical maturity, when in fact it only does so while within the Feywilds, since very few fey-born ever leave this is hardly known and while outside the Feywilds a fey-born can live for as long as an elf they can still die from old age if they do not return to the feywilds."

Fey-Wings

Starting at 3rd level, you can use your action to unleash the fey energy within yourself, causing your eyes to glimmer and two luminous, incorporeal wings to sprout from your back.

-Your transformation lasts for 1 minute or until you end it as a bonus action. During it, you have a flying speed of 30 feet, and once on each of your turns, you can deal extra radiant damage to one target when you deal damage to it with an attack or a spell. The extra radiant damage equals your level.
-Once you use this trait, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
