Despite having similar appearances to humans, Demonfolk live much longer and have an average lifespan of 250 years. They reach adulthood around the age of 80.

Demonfolk live in tribes, rarely ever leaving the tribe and therefore often tend towards a Lawful or Neutral allignment.

Demonfolk are of medium size.

The Demonfolk have existed for such a long time no one knows where they originated from. For as long as anyone remember they have been split into different tribes and rarely communicate between tribes. The distinct tribes can be identified by the hair colour and sometimes skin colour of the Demonfolk as their natural hair colour is of their tribes colour and their skin is sometimes tinted towards that colour as well.

There are 5 Demonfolk Tribes on the Moray island:

The Blue Demonfolk, known as the Migurd, are located to the North Side of the island and are born with the ability to sense magical beings and objects that are nearby to them. They also possess a greater intelligence than the other tribes.

The Green Demonfolk, known as the Superd, are situated to the East side of the island and are born with a natural beguiling tongue. They are known throughout the tribes as being more passive and charismatic than the other tribes.

The Orange Demonfolk, known as the Tendura, live on the South East coast of the island and each tribesmen possesses a forked tail attached to their lower back. They are also more observant of the world and are seen as the wisest of the Demonfolk.

The Pink Demonfolk, known as the Empest, have live on the West Coast of the island and are born with horns upon their head with more agility than the other tribes.

The Red Demonfolk, known as the Andure, live to the South West and are typically more ferocious and prefer battle over all else. They are often born with two extra arms and have a greater strength than any of the other tribes.

When a Demonfolk is born, a gemstone is formed in the forehead of the child. Each individual Demonfolk has its own unique gemstone which acts as it’s ID. No two Demonfolk have the same gemstone including twins.

The gemstone is connected to the Demonfolk’s mind and, if removed, will cause the death of that Demonfolk, similar to how a heart being removed will kill a human. It acts in a similar way to an organ within the body, with it growing as the body does. If a Demonfolk dies, or the stone is removed, the colour of the stone will slowly fade over the course of a few days.

Despite being called a gemstone, the stone doesn’t contain any of the same elements as any other gemstones on the Material Plane. They can appear with any colour or shape, but is never bigger than a grape.

Few races have ever come in contact with the Demonfolk and even fewer know their origin. Out of the 5 tribes on the material plane, only the Blue Tribe have detailed knowledge of their history. The other tribes only know that they were once a large community that originated from the Feywild, but they do not know of why they split or why they had to leave that Plane.
