Homebrew Chimpanzee Species Details

They came into my shop and while I was being distracted by them holding a few items in their hands, they seemed to clear out the lower shelf with their feet or their "other hands”. I would advise you to keep an eye on all four of their limbs.

— Bellenox Stringer, shopkeeper

Their true origin is not known, and they tend to keep hidden from any prying eyes. The chimpanzee is a humanoid drive by their interest in acquiring anything they seem to think belongs to them. They do not believe they are stealing but returning the item to its proper place.

Not all chimpanzees have the urge to procure things which are seen by others as not belonging to the chimpanzee. Some have decided to follow the path of a warrior, while others have taken up the art of magic or performing.

Secretive Outsiders

Chimpanzees are looked upon as outsiders by most other races. Seen as thieves and cutthroats because of some unsavory representatives of the race. With considerable hard work of the wisest of the chimpanzees, their reputation is becoming more favorable and seen less as outcasts.

Harbingers of Mystery

Stories passed down from generation to generation, some possibly authentic while others seem to be a bit extraordinary. One story tells of a great chimpanzee leader who led the race into great wealth, which is secretly hidden in the realm. Another tells of an experiment where test animals were given an experimental potion which stimulated their brains, and they became more intelligent than their testers.

Chimpanzee Names

Chimpanzees are given names by their community leaders at birth. Some have altered their names to fit in more with the realm, but most hold onto their given names and incorporate them into their new names.

Male Chimpanzee Names: Banana, Caesar, Cyril, Cedric, Bubbles, Titano, Otis, Maximus, Virgil.

Female Chimpanzee Names: Tisa, Lulu, Zini, Suri, Kiki, Oli, Zuli, Baby, Mako, Apina.
