Homebrew Corwborne Species Details

Crowbornes are medium size creatures, being a little shorter than the average Human. Crowbornes have a humanoid body with the head of a Crow Dragon, and they often get confused with Kenku. They possess talons in place of their lower legs, and their arms come out of the bend in their wings. Crowbornes are adept flyers, being able to fly for miles without rest, although they do not conduct these trips very often. Crowbornes live mainly in Skopra, the Sky City, and rarely go down to the surface.

Corwborne Traits

Traits

Age

Crowbornes are able to live well past 100 years old, and reach maturity at age 16.

Size

Your size is medium.

Darkvision

You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Entangled Words

You can use your action to exhale destructive energy.

When you use your Entangled Words, each creature in the area of the exhalation must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your draconic ancestry. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 Psychic damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th level, and 5d6 at 16th level.

You may use Entangled Words a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier per long rest.

Talons

Your talons are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.

Languages

Crowbornes know Common, Deep Crow, and Draconic.
