Homebrew Colorling Species Details

Looks

Colorlings are 5-6 feet tall and usually have blond hair and varying skin tones. They can of course change this but that is what they would look like without using power. Colorlings gain 1 extra Charisma. Colorling clothes end up turning gray over time from their powers draining colors from around them. It will take around a month for this to happen.

Color Fluid

Colorlings use power through a substance called color fluid. They have a separate organ that contains this and regenerates it. When powers are used Color Fluid is absorbed. To the eye Color Fluid is a whitish glowing milky liquid that if touched by a non-Colorling burns the skin like acid. The higher level a Colorling is it can hold more Color Fluid. Colorlings gain 30 fluid through short rests. 60 from long rests. and 10-15 from big meals. If Colorlings run out of Color Fluid they will take damage. 10 damage for each 30 mins without until they die.

Spells 

Level 1 Self Change: Can change skin, hair, and eye color with patterns, solid colors, or gradient colors. 10 Color Fluid per hour. 

Level 3 Color Influence: Can change color of a object you touch with patterns, solid colors, or gradient colors. 20 Color Fluid per hour.

Level 5 Color Influence 2:Can change color of a object you see with patterns, solid colors, or gradient colors. 25 Color Fluid per hour.

Level 8 Color Orb: Sends out a colorful orb of light heat seeking the chosen enemy nearby. After hitting deals 2d8 damage + 2 holy damage. 25 Colorfluid per cast.

Level 12 Color Beam: Shoots a colorful beam of light hitting in a 5 feet wide and 40 feet long radius. Deals 4d6 to enemies and friends in path + 3 holy damage. 60 Colorfluid per cast.
