Homebrew White Slaad Species Details
White Slaad are formed when a powerful magic user is infected with a Slaad tadpole. Normally, the process proceeds unaltered, but very rarely, the magic is so strong that it mutates the growing tadpole. When this happens, the Slaad is born pale, weak and bizarre. These Slaad are highly magical, imprinted by the powerful mind of their host. Walking the world with memories that aren't their own, these strange creatures struggle to find a sense of identity.
Natural Magic
Due to their unusual birth, White Slaad are born magical. Uncontrollable sorcerers, they inadvertently spread chaos wherever they go. Some embrace this power, and become fully fledged sorcerers. Others try to hide it, only revealing their powers by accident.
Imprinted Mind
White Slaad are only born of a highly powerful spellcaster. These spellcasters minds are often so strong they leave an impact on the brain of a fresh White Slaad. The Slaad might have fragments of memory from its host, or imprints of their personality. People who knew the spellcaster might find that the Slaad acts oddly familiar, possibly walking the same way, or using the same phrases. When making a White Slaad character, be sure to discuss the nature of your host with your DM.
White Slaad Names
White Slaad are not given names. Abandoned at birth by their species, they have to choose their own names. These names could be a sound, a word that they like, or some might choose a name they find in their host's memory. Others might take on their host's name, and attempt to carry on their legacy.

Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 ft.
Uncontrollable Chaos
Whenever you take damage, roll 2d20’s. If you get the same number on each roll, roll on the wild magic table. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for any of these effects.
Wild Resistance
Your inherent magic protects you against harm. Every time you take a short or long rest, roll a d8. You gain resistance to a damage type determined by your roll. Whenever you roll on the wild magic table for any reason, reroll on this chart.
