Homebrew Chacho-il Species Details

Chacho-il are amphibious creatures with unique sensing abilities. However, their main weapon is the ability to glow so bright as to temporarily blind people. As they live in swamps, groups of chacho-il have been known to make deals and alliances with hag covens, bullywugs and other unsavory figures. However, they are not inherently evil, and their friendliness toward outsiders varies according to tribe. Chacho-il hatch from eggs into tadpoles, which slowly grow into adult, land-breathing, mature chacho-il. Chacho-il are strong and fast, making them good at surviving in the dangerous climes of the bog.

 Chacho-il Appearance

Chacho-il look like humanoid salamanders in a muted, darkened version of any color. They have a third eye on their forehead which, when opened, causes them to glow. The amount they glow varies based on how wide they open their eye, and if they open it all the way they can glow bright enough to disable vision.
