Homebrew DemonBorn Species Details
This is a homebrew race I made for my homebrew setting. They typically have red skin, are more accustomed to the tropics, and horns at the top of their head. Instead of coming from infernal heritage, it derives from abyssal heritage. The prevalent culture in my setting is that they come from a tropic mass of volcanic islands known as Hyvarre which is supposed to resemble island-hopping imperial Japan. Hyvarre has been under one-party control for over a couple of centuries and follows an empire system.
DemonBorn Traits
Demonborns share certain racial traits as a result of their abyssal descent.Ability Score Increase
Your Wisdom score increases by 2, and your Strength score increases by 1.
Age
Demonborns mature at an extremely quick rate and live up to 350 years on average. They fully mature around the age of 12, but their bodies start to lose ability around age 300.
Size
Demonborns are usually slightly taller and muscles are more defined than humans. Your size is Medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 35 feet.
Darkvision
Thanks to your infernal heritage, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Abyssal Warfare
For the first 3 rounds of combat, you have advantage on attack rolls when not caught in a surprise round.
The Demon's Tongue
After listening to someone have a conversation or speak for 1 minute, you can perfectly imitate their voice for an hour. After an hour, the character forgets it and must hear it again.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common and Abyssal.
