Homebrew Bugoliath Bear Species Details

At the highest mountain peaks — far above the slopes where trees grow and where the air is thin and the frigid winds howl — dwell the reclusive goliaths where a small percent of them are really hot for some bugbears. Lucky for them, some bugbears have crushes on them too. Goliaths wander a bleak realm of rock, wind, and cold. Their bodies look as if they are carved from mountain stone and give them great physical power. Their spirits take after the wandering wind, making them nomads who wander from peak to peak. Their hearts are infused with the cold regard of their frigid realm, leaving each goliath with the responsibility to earn a place in the tribe or die trying. Bugbears are hairy goblinoids born for battle and mayhem. They survive by raiding and hunting, but are fond of setting ambushes and fleeing when outmatched. When the two come together they make wondrous powerful beings called Bugoliath Bears.

For a Goliath to date a Bugbear, or the other away around, is considered a humungous taboo. It's generally frowned upon so most Bugoliath Bear parents keep their kids out of the publics eye. Most other races most likely have never seen nor heard about a Bugoliath Bear.

Bugoliath Bears inherit the gray, rough skin — that is resistant to cold — of the Goliaths and the long arms and sneakiness of the Bugbears. They are very tall, somewhat lanky, grey creatures. They tend to have a large underbite and incredibly sharp teeth. Since they are both very big creatures, the Bugoliath Bear can be Medium or Large at around 9ft tall.

Bugoliath Bears are usually neutral good as they are usually raised by parents who deeply care about love more than anything else.
