Homebrew Chaotix Species Details

Chaotix are a race of powerful elementals from the astral plane. Sometimes referred to as riftwalkers or chaos elementals, they possess the ability to warp reality around themselves.

Born of the Astral Sea

Chaotix are formed when a large patch of astral magic gains sentience. While in the material plane, they bear a human-like form, their only distinguishing feature being striking blue eyes and hair. However, when contacting the astral plane, their true form is revealed.

A Chaotix’s true form is a largely featureless humanoid with large, round, electric blue eyes and a wide, jagged mouth. Their flesh is made up of transparent blue energy which, depending on their mood, may flow in a wave pattern or flicker like electricity.

Restless Form

Chaotix do not age or tire like most creatures. They do not sleep, and only rest when their magical energy is depleted. As long as their connection to the astral plane, the source of their magic, remains strong, Chaotix do not age. However, they can be killed through damage to their physical form.

Chaotix often go out into the material plane to seek new experiences, entertainment, and forms of power. Their mind constantly flicks from one thing to the next, taking in all it can. They thrive in chaos, their power surging with the energy of the moment.

Chaotix Names

Traditional Chaotix names are a string of primordial syllables, incomprehensible to those used to the languages of the material plane. This being the case, Chaotix often adopt two names: their traditional name, and a name in common--usually human or elven in origin.
