Homebrew Vanara Species Details
Vanara are an evolved monkey race with humanoid traits, looking like a cross between the two. Their faces are distinctly primate and have prehensile tails. Their bodies are covered almost completely in hair, typically in browns, oranges, and whites. Typically found in forests, Vanara are a reclusive race that rarely venture from their temples, where they spend their time in monastic pursuits of the mind and body. Fierce warriors and wizened sages, the Vanara are respected by those who've had dealings with them. Given their home in nature and search for knowledge to improve mind, body, and spirit, Vanaran and Elven societies tend to intertwine easily. The most famous of all Vanara was Sun Wukong, the monkey king who ascended to the status of a God.
