Homebrew Ailuropoda Species Details

Ailuropoda are often referred to as “sacred creatures of the forest” by the humans that live in the region, and are often regarded as a symbol of peace by the natives. Some even think Ailuropoda ancestors were sent down by the gods to watch over the forests and mountains  and protect the other creatures that live there which is why they only eat bamboo and other types of plants. Ailuropoda have to eat a LOT and they also in most cases tend to rest every chance they get. Some regard them as lazy others think they are these mystical creatures that watch over all the lands. It is not commonly known where or how Ailuropoda originated but if get close enough to befriend one then they might tell you they’re secrets. Ailuropoda are generally peaceful and kind creatures and won’t attack you unless you have really made them mad, which isn’t easy to do. Most Ailuropoda have a very carefree personality and generally couldn’t care less about what is happening around them. They are very great companions and even great warriors if you can somehow motivate them to go on a journey with you. 

Ailuropoda Traits

Your base walking speed is 20 and climbing speed 35 along with 15 speed swimming

The way of the yin and yang

Every Ailuropoda has high amounts of chi inside of them. They can use they’re chi to call onto they’re ancestors to use and ancient  healing technique to heal 1 party member. As the Ailuropoda uses this method it’s paws glow Golden and they must put they're paws on the party member they are trying to heal in order for it to work roll two d10 in order to see how much health gets replenished. 

Paws of fury

Once every long rest you can take an extra unarmed strike attack and use your claws to strike the enemy. This ability adds an extra 2 d10 of damage to your opponent. 

Rolling stone

Rolling Stone 
As a bonus action, you can roll 60 ft. without provoking opportunity attacks. You can only use this trait if your speed is greater than 0. You can use it 2 times starting at level 3 and the number of uses increases when you level up. and regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Brown Ailuropoda

Brown Ailuropoda have the same traits and background as other Ailuropoda, but instead of the fur being black and white it is brown and white. Brown Ailuropoda are extremely rare and have slightly more motivation than normal Ailuropoda and are a bit more energetic as well.
