Homebrew Cephalid Species Details

Cephalids once ruled an immense underwater empire, capitalising on the land below the waves which no other humanoid race had the capacity to conquer.

Their unique ability to swim in the canals and to change the details in their appearance gives them a unique edge in criminal operations.

If a Cephalid is given the opportunity, they can excel in higher levels of organisations. Putting their superior intelligence to good use.

However, the Cephalids are often mis-treated immigrants who never get the chance to study wizardry or artifice. Though when the mighty sea empire once controlled the costs the Cephalids were ahead of the world in their wizardly advancements. Ultimately it was their in-ability to master fire that made them surrender to the more technological advanced land societies.

Cephalids cannot fully change shape, however, their mouldable form allows them to take on the appearance of humans. Though to the touch they feel slimy.
