Homebrew Anuro Species Details
(WIP)
The Anuro is a race of small frog like humanoid creatures.The Anuro are typically extremely friendly towards other races and societies and love to help out whenever they can, they do not ask for much in return and as long as they are treated fairly or they may become stubborn, apart from this they will gladly give a helping hand.
They are well known for having successful partnerships with fishermen and is somewhat uncommon to not see a Anuro on any large boat crews. Thanks to their strange long elastic tongues, they excel at catching fish and traversing the ships sails and decks, although just remember to give at least one fish as reward or they will become stubborn and refuse to continue working.
They do not have one place they call home, although they are most typically found within fishing and farming towns and like to spread across the world as a race to look for places to help.
The Anuro have smooth rubber like skin which can come in a variety of bright and rich colours and have the hands and feet of a typical frog, Apart from these, the Anuro have well defined arms , legs and torso, walk on two legs and have a more human like posture. When it comes to clothing, They try to not wear a lot of layers as this makes their skin too warm and makes them sweat too much, They prefer to wear light and breezy clothing.
When it comes to their diet, They have now moved onto more fish based diets since evolving, They do not mind eating other meats but if fish is an option, they will chose that instead. Although, since the Anuro evolved from simple frogs, they still have a bad habit of eating flies and insects that happen to fly to close to them
Anuro Traits
Although the Anuro have become more human like, they still share a lot of the same traits of their ancestors. Now with their stronger and more muscular bodies, these traits have been greatly amplified thanks to the surge of evolutionAbility Score Increase

Age
The Anuro have a relatively good lifespan thanks to their healthy diet and their similarity to humanoid creatures, although due to the genes past down from their frog ancestors, their lifespans are slightly below average of humans. Anuro reach maturity quickly, reach adulthood at 10 and have a lifespan of just under 80 years
Alignment
Most Anuro try to be as friendly and helpful as possible, Although since they have only just integrated into most societies, they do not fully have a good idea on morals and correct behaviour around some people, their alignment is typically shaped by who they have been around the most but still display a Lawful personality
Size
Anuro Adults stand 3-4 feet tall and have an average weight of 20-45 pounds. Your Size is Small
Speed
Your base walking speed is 25 feet, Swimming speed of 20 feet and a climbing speed of 15 feet
Water Dependency
The Anuro are believed to have evolved from simple forest and jungle frogs, although the exact cause of this quick evolution is not known. even though their anatomy has drastically changed from their ancestors, they still share some biological similarities
If you fail to immerse yourself in water for at least 1 hour during a day or have a drink of water, your skin will become uncomfortably dry and stiff, making it hard to move or dodge any incoming attacks.
Sticky Tongue
The Anuro over the years have managed to strengthen their tongues to best suit their slowly increasing body sizes as they evolve, before when the tongue was just able to pull small insects, the strength of their tongues are now capable of moving objects equal to their body weight.
As a bonus action, you can launch your tongue forward, if the tongue hits an object or creature and the target weights more than your character weight, you can choose to pull yourself towards the target, if the target weights less or equal to your character, the target must succeed at a Strength DC 8 or they will be pulled towards you
The tongue has a range of 10 feet and can only be launched forward in a straight line, but the angle can be slight angled upward, downwards, left and right.
The tongue can be used in different ways instead of just pulling an object straight forward, such as pulling the target to your side, over head, using your tongue to swing to cross cap or perhaps as your characters weapon? although this is up to the DM to decide if the action is reasonable or to decide on the damage if used as an attack

Posted Feb 3, 2019This race was designed to be a test for me to find out how the create a home-brew feature worked, so there will be a bunch of mistakes i didn't notice before publishing, some the descriptions were not fully thought out and some definitely do not contain all the information i would like to convey about my idea, May consider creating a fully finished version in the future as i quite like this race idea.
