Homebrew Apeling Species Details

In a Society built around nature, many apelings are imbued with a great sense of right and wrong. The great civilization they stride from may have had ancient human influence, but they have survived all on their own. Most Apelings are monkey like people however some gorrilia and orangatange people do exsist.

Born For the Earth

Apelings tend to be around 5ft 10'' and most have slender bodys. Normaly their clothing is sparce, only covering portions of their bodies as they do not farm animals, but only use crops so most clothing is rope made from husks from plants. The Monkey like ones have long tails and are most commonly brown in color but color can vary. 

Diplomats or Explorers

The Apelings have Grown almost entirely in their own civilization however when they are sent out they are explorers going to seek knowladge to pass it back to their people.

In most parts of the world, though, Apelings are uncommon enough that one might live for years without meeting another. Many join groups of adventurers as staying in a group increases their odds of learning, and surviving in the new world. Many throw themselves into the thick of society, putting their charisma and social skills to great use in diplomatic roles or as swindlers.

Apelings use names that corelate with the nature around them. 

Apeling Varients

The varients of Apelings, are that of Gorrillas, Orangatangs, and Gibbons. Most Apelings are monkeys but every so often a special varient is born. They are not treated diffrently in society but normaly fit into rolls that best suit their nature. Ex: Gorrilla Apelings tend to do manual labor like farming or body guarding While Orangatangs tend to have jobs like teaching and coming up with solutions to problems.

Your Charisma score increases by 2, and two other ability scores of your choice increase by 1.

Age

Apelings mature at the a little bit before humans do and reach adulthood around the age of 17. They live about the same life span of humans, super elderly would be around 100 years.

Size

Apelings are about the same size as humans, ranging from 5 to 6 feet tall. Your size is Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Darkvision

Living in nature has its perks. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Foolish Ancestry

You have disadvantage on saving throws against being charmed by humans, but advantage aginst every other race (half humans dont count).

Skill Versatility

You gain proficiency in two skills of your choice.
