Homebrew Demon Species Details
My voice was like an avalanche in the depths of Nidavellir, like the constant smouldering magma in the rivers within my Queen's realm the Flowerfields Dirna. It resounds from everywhere and nowhere at once and makes the hairs stand up on the back of inexperienced necks.
"Gader'el," I spoke my name.
I saw the kid give a strangled kind of gulp when he heard the Abyssal name. Good— then he wasn't entirely stupid; he knew who and what I was. He knew my reputation.
After taking a moment to swallow some accumulated phlegm, he spoke again. "I-I charge you again to answer. Are you the demon Gader'el, of Seventh Grace, who in olden times was summoned by the King of Guelvar to bring forth the plague known as—"
What a time waster this kid was. Who else would it be? I upped the volume a bit on this one. The lanterns nearby cracked like caramelized sugar. Behind the dirty curtains the window glass shimmered and hummed. The kid rocked back on his heels.
"I am Gader'el! I am Sakhr al-Djinn, Winged Pharaoh Farmu, and the Feathered Serpent of Malbata! With my name spoken, mountains erupt and seas recede. I have assasinated kings and queens. I have felled legions of mortals. I have spoken with King Qoheleth of Amoria. I have run with the fierce stallions in the Steppes of Ryt Baikal. I have watched over the Sweet Sea before the Vanirs made it a reality. I am Gader'el! My master is Queen Hrist-hana alone. So I charge you in your turn, boy. Who are you to summon me?"
To the good folk of Manna-heim, demons are sometimes only mysterious unseen beings, monsters of folklore, and tales of the past. Terrible stories are told to children so that they might not wander into the dangers of the outside world, out of civilization. The source of black magic and curses, masters of falsehoods and trickery, they would rob those who would dare to make deals with them.
To some traveled ones, however, demons are of a much more physical concept, as many would actually encounter them in the vast wilderness of uncharted lands. Bloodthirsty and violent, with fire-foul breaths, fang, horns, and rugged dark wings.
To those unfortunate enough to live in desolate places and naturally dangerous environments, they would know demons as armies of pillaging and murdering monsters. Organized in a very chaotic manner of lesser races of war, and are unquestionably evil.
To the much more learned scholars and adventurers, demons are entities with layers of more complex structural powers, with the term Grace as its framework. They may be undead, fiends, ghosts, wild tieflings, aberrations, dragons, goblins, or kobolds. These armies are led by a higher-class demon, known as a General. Here is where the line between brutal unintelligent monsters and powerful wish-granting beings is drawn and crossed.
To those with an ascendant level of knowledge, demons then rather play a role of a philosophical error. They are very much capable and will grant wishes of ill-nature. It is what made them powerful, and it is their sacred Steps to become rulers of other demons. Kabuyl.
Demonic Names
Pure demonic names fall into three broad categories. Spawns of the Emerald Mountain typically have names reflective of the culture in which it is first known or done its first deed of Kabuyl. Some old or ancient demons have names derived from the culture of the Ancient Kingdom of Amoria, endured through generations, that reflect their more spiritual nature and their bond with King Solomon of Amoria. And some other, more distant and younger generations of demons, such as the oni and tiefling, adapt to their own culture where they are more spread and known. The rest of the kinds can name themselves accordingly.
Amorian Male Abyssal Names: Almog, Avunet, Elchanan, Mevaser, Nehorai, Rakia, Shmaaya, Shuvael, Yitzhak, Zitsi

MET WITH HOSTILITY
Most people tend to be hostile of demons. Thus showing demonic horns or other signature in appearance will become a judgment on their personality and morality. However, the reality is that if the demon is Masterless/Kingless/Queenless, their Kabuyl doesn’t affect their personality. They are gifted with magic from the abyssal emerald mountain but can choose to walk the path of Hope instead of Wish.
