Homebrew Arachnidys Species Details
rachnidys, were the creation of a group of wizards, who were trying to build the ultimate bodyguard or sentinel. They experimented on several races, and found that those of Human, Dwarf, Elf, and Orc worked the best. They used a special school of Necromantic magic to combine the bodies of the races with different spider and bug types. Those kinds with a carapace that would provide extra defenses, as well as a boost to their speed and strength. They found that spiders made the best choice, they thought ants would work well, but they proved to have some psychotic issues after a couple of months. So spiders it was, they're fast, strong and have a decent carapace for added defense. After a while the Arachnidys got tired of being used as "servants and shields" as the wizards used to call them, and went on their own after a gruelling battle with the wizards. They lost many of their numbers, but found that they had the ability to bear children, and slowly started to rebuild their numbers. Not many have known an Arachnidys, but those that have met them in battle have not soon forgotten their ferocity.
