Homebrew Dracolizard Species Details
Dracolizards (Dray-ko-lizard) are an uncommon result of a Dragonborn and a Lizardfolk mating. They are rarely born of love, usually being through conquest or alliance marriages, although they only have about a 10% chance to actually be created, the other 90% being a failed egg, while two Dracolizard parents have a 90% success rate. They always take on the scale color of the dragon parent. These reptiles are viscous but loyal fighters, preferring to ally themselves to a cause IE their tribe, army or a band of adventurers. They fit in with both their parent races decently well, as Lizardfolk respect them for their increased strength, while Dragonborn treat them as just another Dragonborn since they look much more like their dragon parents. They aren't as clever as their parents as a trade off for their power. They think and act a lot like dragonborn instead of being cold and calculated.
Its basically a better dragonborn since they imo one of the coolest but weakest races. Mixed in some lizardfolk traits, changed a couple, removed its breath weapon to make it more balanced than simply giving the dragonborn traits.
