Homebrew Avistepuor Species Details

The rough terrain of sticks and rocks press into your feet, but you're running too fast to care. Dry dirt kicks up into your eyes, the torrid forrest surrounds you on every side. As you keep running on your makeshift path you begin to approach a wall of tangled trees and greenery. However, the rapid footsteps following you don't decrease in volume. Exhaustion grasps at your throat, but fear clouds your mind. The fear is so overwhelming you're yet to look back at whats been chasing you. When you reach the barricade you're forced to stop. Your body is aching from running, unable to take a breath with the desperation from your lungs. With pure terror you turn and face the terrifying creature who has been chasing you. Through the shadowy light from the large forest, you see a five foot creature with the lower half of a blue bird; however, its upper half is an entire human torso, arms, and head.

Avistepuors are a relatively ancient race. Legend says, a great leader of an Aarakocra society made a deal with an infernal creature for immortality. Often chasing them upon entering their land, but they do try to avoid getting violent. Due to their lucrative nature, in many regions they are considered mythical or not real.
