Homebrew Brachiyura Species Details

Brachiyura are part of a larger group of people called Twilightlight Oceanids.

Appearance

They are fairly small creatures rarely exceeding 2-3 feet. in length.  They are a range of bright and vibrant colors from reds and orange to blues and purples. They have chitinous natural armor that is extremely sturdy. They have what has been described as kaleidoscope eyes that include at least three different colors and no hair or cilia. They do  often where headpieces made of found objects and are avid crafters. Their arms end with large but dexterous claws and they have 8 legs meaning ten limbs total.

Treasures

They are of the few Oceanids that opt to keep physical possessions rather than Engrained adornments.  They have an affinity for creating their own items most becoming craftsmen and artificers. But the thrill of the find entices them to go out and seek out unique and rare items.

One Crab's Trash...

Even more so than finding rare items, it is seen as a show of skill to take something useless and make it into something extraordinary. Many content themselves with constructs of some kind but a hero of old is said to have created the first land arachnids. Which has led to Brachiyura calling spiders land crabs.

Caretakers of the Sea

All Oceanids have a deep and profound respect for the Ocean. It is expected to take care of your surroundings before most everything else.  They expect other creatures to treat the ocean with the same respect, failure to do so is a sure way to break bonds with an Oceanid.

What's Mine is Yours
