Homebrew Demonic Undead Species Details
Raising the dead is a tricky thing. While many clerics use holy healing to bring back deceased loved ones, and druids can use plant life to possess dead bodies, some may not have such pure magic on their side. Warlocks whose powers are drawn from the Fathomless, Great Old Ones, Fiends, and Undead Lords can use dark forces to animate the body of any humanoid race, turning it into a Demonic Undead, or 'ghoul', as commoners often refer to them. The Demonic Undead can appear in various stages of decay, depending on how their body appeared at its time of reanimation. However, they do not age or rot any further after reanimation. So long as their reanimator is alive, Demonic Undead will be driven towards evil: They will ravenously devour humanoid flesh, they will pursue and kill any target their reanimator points them towards, and they will be instinctively drawn towards sowing chaos and fear in the world around them. But when the reanimator is killed or stripped of their power, all the Demonic Undead they created will gain free thought, and their alignment may change. The Demonic Undead often have no memories of their life before death, but do typically retain the memories from their life under their reanimator's influence.

Ghoulish Fangs
On a hit, a bite attack will do 1d6 necrotic damage plus your strength modifier.
Undead Appetite
Using a successful bite attack on a humanoid provides you additional temporary hit points equal to that of your proficiency bonus. This ability can be used three times per long rest. However, when consuming anything that does not contain meat or blood (from a humanoid or otherwise), you must make a constitution saving throw (DC 13) or take 1d6 poison damage.
Cursed Hunger
Once per long rest, you must ingest flesh or blood from a living humanoid. If you have not ingested the blood or flesh of a living humanoid since the end of your last long rest, you must make a wisdom saving throw (DC 13). Upon failing the saving throw, you must make a bite attack against the nearest living humanoid until you successfully hit them. If there are no living humanoids nearby, you take 1 point of damage from starvation until your hunger is satisfied.
