Homebrew Apling Species Details
Aplings dwell in jungles, building their villages in treetops to hide from predators. It is thought that they were what humans descended from, or at the very least, humans mutated into apelike beings by magic.
Apling Traits
Your Apling character has the following traits:Speed
Aplings have a walking speed of 30 feet, and their tree-dwelling lifestyle affords them a climbing speed of 30 feet.
Ability Score Increase
Aplings have the following ability score increases: +1 to WIS and CHA, +2 to DEX.
Jungle Skill
Choose two skills from Nature, Survival, Perception, Animal Handling, and Acrobatics. You are proficient in those skills.
Tail
You have a tail that allows you to grab and carry additional objects. This tail can carry up to your weight in objects, but only one object at a time. You can also use it to gain a 20 foot bonus to your climbing speed as a bonus action. You gain the ability to do so again after a short rest.
Darkvision
You have darkvision out to 60 feet.
