Homebrew Démondeal Species Details

Démondeals are often confused for tieflings, and prefer it that way. They are the dealmakers who reside within the Nine Hells. They live only to make the deals that often destroy those who make them. Trading souls for things of value, Démondeals are cunning, manipulative,  and dangerous.

Most Démondeals have one goal in their lives. They are cursed and created to burn eternally under the ruler of the Nine Hells. However, they are offered but one chance to free themselves. Should a Démondeal be lucky enough, they may earn their mortal souls and be free to walk among the Material Plane. To do this, they must first successfully strike bargains with a hundred mortal souls; trading them in place of their own soul. However, they must complete all 100 in a row, without failing their end of the deal, and without the mortal finding a way to break the deal, or die before it's completion, as so many adventurers do. If the Démondeal should at any point break this 100 in a row streak, they are doomed eternally, and not allowed to try this endeavor again. As such, it is the cruel fate that most of these demons have resided themselves to their torturous existence, only aiming to take down as many mortal souls with them as possible. According to legend, only few Démondeals have ever been able to complete their 100 deals and free themselves, but their fates are shrouded in mystery and doubt and few believe in their existence

Démondeals share a very similar appearance to Tieflings. They are a little shorter, and their skin varies in different shades of red and maroon. Their complexion and their horns and  tails is what often makes them so mistakable to the Tiefling. Their eyes and their hair tend to favor darker blacks and blue, almost navy colors. The only real difference between them is that the Démondeal's horns do not vary in shape or color; only being two small, black, sharp horns at the side of their forehead.

If a Démondeal manages to complete their 100 soul mission, they take the form of whatever species they last made a deal with; only the species. Their hair and eye color remains the same, and they keep roughly their own facial features, the extent of which being whatever their new race allows for. For this reason, most Démondeals stray away from making deals with Tiefling, not wishing to keep any more of their original form than necessary. Démondeals however, cannot take the form of an Aasimar, or other Celestial being.
