Homebrew Werecat Species Details
Shape Changer
Werecats survive in a world full of larger creatures by mostly living in isolation although some choose to wonder the world. Standing about 3 feet tall in their “human” Form, they have the form of small children with fangs and cat eyes. In their feline form they shrink to the size of an adult cat. They are inclined to be skinny, weighing between 40 and 45 pounds.
Werecats’ skin ranges from tan to pale, and their hair matches the fur colors and patterners they have in their cat form. They have cat like eyes and fangs in their “human” form. They often wear simple, comfortable, and practical clothes that disappear and reappear when they shift between forms.
Curious and Wise
Werecats are naturally curious but also very wise. It was their curiosity that caused them to leave the Fey Wilds thousands of years ago. It also leads them to follow any anything that catches their interest. While their curiosity tends to get the better of them, their wisdom keeps them from getting into sticky situations for the most part.
Exiles from the Fey Wilds
Before they appeared in the world, Werecats lived in the Fey Wilds. Their natural curiosity led them to explore other planes of existence. Groups of Werecats found their way to the material plane, where they formed isolated communities
Wanderers
While most werecats prefer to live in isolation, some prefer to leave their communities and explore the new world they came to. These werecats mostly stay to themselves although they will join other people on occasion
