Demi-Human Traits

A race frequently targeted throughout the long-standing conflict. Demi-humans are a special race that requires experience to age and grow.

Ability Score Increase

Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Charisma score increases by 1.

Age

Demi-humans can age naturally until they reach 10 years old, requiring experience to grow further. Every level a demi-human gains ages them both physically and mentally by 2 years. At 18 years old they cease aging physically through leveling but can still advance mentally. Regardless of level, demi-humans live for around 60 years.

Alignment

Demi-humans were once harshly treated by evil forces. Because of this, many are lawful good, vowing to fight for freedom and equality wherever it's threatened.

Apperance

Demi-humans appear human at first, with their ears and tails being the biggest difference. These appendages often mimic those of beasts, paving the way for thousands of different demi-human types to exist.

Race & Languages

Your creature type is humanoid. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.

Stalwart Heart

You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

Expression

Your lineage's time on the sides of oppression and defiance has given you two drastically different faces to pull out.

As a bonus action, you can amass an expression of confidence or cowardice until the start of your next turn. You can use each expression only once, and regain all uses after a long rest. While active, the expression chosen provides a unique ability:

Confidence. You can add a 1d4 bonus to every attack roll and ability check you make that uses strength or dexterity.

Cowardice. Each creature of your choice within 5 feet of you is put into a false sense of superiority. Attack rolls made by these creatures have disadvantage, and attack rolls made towards them have advantage. A creature must be capable of possessing an ego to be affected.
