Bonsai dryads reach maturity when their tree reaches its maximum height (15-24 inches) in around 20 years, and live until their tree decays naturally in 100 years

Bonsai dryads have a deep-rooted connection to all living things, attempting to preserve life of all types whenever possible and at every turn. This indifferent compassion makes most bonsai dryads neutral good.
Apperance
Bonsai Dryads are composed entirely of plant matter. Their skin is a mix between thin bark and supple green flesh. Flowering leaves extend from their head that grow quickly, requiring regular trimming.

Your creature type is fey, rather than humanoid. You can speak, read, and write common, elvish, and sylvan.
Linked Survival
A bonsai dryad receives nourishment by providing its tree with adequate water and sunlight. You die if you take a long rest while your tree is more than 1 mile away from you. While your tree is reduced to 0 hit points, your mind is warped with madness. Roll once on both the Long-term Madness and Indefinite Madness tables (DMG p/258). If you or a druid performs a 1-hour ritual using a dirt-filled pot and a part of your DNA as components, your bonsai tree revives with 1 hit point.
Forest Magic
Using your bonsai tree as a spellcasting focus, you can cast either the Entangle or Goodberry spell once with this trait; you regain the ability to cast it when you finish a long rest. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells
Tree Recall
As an action you can teleport to an unoccupied adjacent space next to your bonsai tree. Additionally you may instead choose to teleport your bonsai tree to an unoccupied adjacent space next to yourself. You cannot teleport using this trait if your tree is more than (100 * your level) feet away. Once you teleport with this trait, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest.

You can communicate simple words and phrases with beasts and plants as if you shared a language.
