Homebrew Bluejay Fairy Species Details

Bluejay fairies are a variant of fairy and fey species. They take on the characteristics of a bluejay from the material realm. From the magestic blue feathered wings to powerful sonic calls, this variant takes on the characteristics of a blue jay from the material plane, which that makes them that more dangerous.   

Bluejay fairies have a humanoid face shape, pointy ears, and are covered in slick feathers. When fully extended, their wingspan can reach 3x that of their height. They have powerful vocal chords that can be used in sonic detection and attacks as well to sharp talons for feet. 

The personality of bluejay fairies is one trait that does not stray from their parent species. Like most fairies, bluejay fairies are natural tricksters who use their abilities to play tricks on gullible travelers. 

Bluejay Fairy Traits

As a fairy, this variant will have many of the same abilities all fairies have. However, its likeness to a material planar bird gives it specific capabilities that can prove powerful on both the material plane and the feywild alike.
