Homebrew Drow Drider Species Details

Driders possess the upper bodies of drow, and the lower bodies of giant spiders. Their drow halves retain all of their typical physical features, including black skin resembling polished obsidian, stark white or pale yellow hair, and very pale eyes that retain the same color shades as regular drow eyes would. The spider half of a drider is typically black and chitinous, propelling the creature along the ground atop eight wicked, spindly spider legs. Due to the space taken up by their spider halves, most driders tend to be up to 8 ft tall, and almost as wide.

Drider live nearly as long as elves, the corruption has shortened their lifespan. Drider may live up to 150 years, but they rarely live their full lifespan.

Darkvision

Due to their underground life, Drider have developed the ability to see in the dark. Drider have excellent darkvision and can see clearly for 60 feet in total darkness.

You can cast the spell Darkness once without expending a spell slot or material components. You must finish a long rest before you can use this ability again.

Spider Climb

Your movement is unrestricted when climbing. Your spider legs give you the ability to climb effortlessly along vertical surfaces and even upside down.
