Homebrew Breadfolk Species Details

Breadfolk are born (or rather baked) from the ovens of any unsuspecting housewife or baker who was unlucky enough to have the chances crossed and end up in their oven. breadfolk, after leaving the oven, are best described as chaotic, with their squishy, arguably edible bodies ending up leaving them in strange situations, and even once left a small village of breadfolk locked in a war against a flock of pidgeons, and the blood feud between breadfolk and birds has only flourished since then. Breadfolk have managed to carve out communities and lives for themselves, with rare and extremely brave breadfolk making the jump to becoming adventurers.

With the way this unique race lives, its people's abilities are unique as well.

A Perfect Disguise

Once every long rest, breadfolk can turn into a normal loaf of bread of their choosing for up to an hour to avoid detection. This is technically the default state of breadfolk, as during sleep and long rests they turn into a loaf as well, making them good travelling companions.

Doughy Deception

With a predisposition to disguise and what can only be described as the most chaotic type of crime, breadfolk have a bred (bread) love for deception.
