the basilisk ability to suck the magic out of any creature or object by inhaling this can paralyze the victim or if there made of magic (or at least it keeps them alive) it can kill them.

the basilisk can turn into any creature of any size and gain all they're racial traits but they have to have enough magic energy from the draining or they are stuck in that form until they can get more magic. they can also change small parts of there body.

a unique ability of the basilisk they can suck up a spell thrown at them storing it in thery're body and shoot it back at the enemy there is no limit to how many spell they can store or how long they can also store trap spells and enchantments on objects and people then keep it for themselves or give it to others say they have sword with a fire enchantment they can drain it to give them or a friend the power to inflict fire damage with they're fists or they can put it on the of they're weapons or armor.

young basilisks often take the shape of a child from any race to be taken in by a family even taking the place of a missing child although they themselves are not the cause of the disappearance this gives them one set of racial traits from any race and a family member as a companion at the start if you so choice.
