Homebrew Apean Species Details

Evolved from apes this race became the dominant version of their species in the world where humans never evolved past the homoerectus.

After a catastrophic event destroyed their home world of which only around 100,000 of the race survived thanks to a group of the most powerful spell casters who were able to create portals to other worlds.

The world they landed on had a number of intelligent races living there but due to some luck of the gods the portals opened in a remote area which had a large open plain near a large mountain, the rest of the area surrounding the plains was covered by large trees.

Due to the remoteness of the area there was very little interaction with any other of the world's races in the first few years after their arrival in this world. Due to their world being destroyed they have become fearful of other races and do not seek out contact with the rest of the world tho over time this may change.

The race has a variety of body types ranging from stocky gorilla types thru to tailed monkey types
