Homebrew Body-Stealing Parasite Species Details
A creature capable of stealing the bodies of other living things, Body-Stealing Parasites are unable to survive for large period of time outside of a host. They can also enter into an agreement with their host, allowing both to co-exist inside the body, though neither of them has full control of the body. No one knows where these parasites came from, but people who know about them live in fear of their loved ones being one of them. There is good reason for this, because when a parasite steals it's users body, it eats the body's brain, stealing the persons memories from the past week. This allows the parasite to learn the body's previous personality, taking over it's former life. Parasites only live for 10 years, but they reproduce asexually, resetting their life-spans in the process.

As an action, a Body-Stealing Parasite can insert itself in any open orifice, and climb it's way inside of it's new host's brain. The parasite will roll an animal handling check, contested by the host's constitution check. This will reoccur until either the parasite takes control, or the host overcomes the parasite's invasion, killing the parasite. If the parasite wins two checks, it takes over the host's body. If the host wins four checks, it overcomes the parasite, killing it.
At any point during these checks, the parasite may leave the body, canceling the take-over. If the parasite attempts another takeover, the host has advantage on all constitution checks.
If the host is unconscious when the parasite invades it's body, the parasite has advantage on all animal handling checks.
Information Recall
As an action, a Body-Stealing Parasite may attempt to recall a memory from the host's past week with a successful DC 10. If it succeeds, the player may ask any question to the DM, and they must answer two questions. If the host knows this information, and what they know about it.
