Homebrew Ceropithian Species Details
Originally hailing from deep jungle communities, Ceropithians are quick to adapt to almost any environment they find themselves in. Standing anywhere from 3 to 6 and a half feet tall, there long limbs are slightly longer then most other races giving them a almost stretched look. In most cases fur covers all of there body except the face and parts of the chest on some males.
Curious by nature they are creatures of whim, sometimes packing up and traveling across whole countenint because they herd of some interesting rumor or story.
Ceropithian Traits
There thin poweful bodys coveted in thick fur, Ceropithians have these traits:Monkey Tail
You can grasp things with your tail. It has a reach of 5 feet and can lift a number of pounds equal to 5 times your strength score. You can use it to do the following simple tasks: lift, hold, drop, push, or pull an object or creature; open or close a door or container; grapple someone; or make an unarmed strike. Your DM might allow other simple tasks to be added to this list.
Your tail can not wield weapons or shields or anything that requires manual precision such as using a tool or the somatic components or a spell.
Primal Display
In battle you can use your bounus action to put on a frightening display of savage aggression forcing all creatures within 60-feet of your choice that can see you to succeed a Wisdom saving throw or become frightened of you for 1 minute. Effected creatures can reroll this save at the end of there turn, ending the effect on a success. Once you use this trait, you can't use it again until you finish a long or short rest.
(The save DC is 8+Proficiency+ Wisdom)
Natural Instincts
You gain proficiency in the Acrobatics and Survival skills.
Simian Empathy
You can communicate simple ideas with simian creatures such as apes and monkeys. In addition you have advantage on Charisma checks and saves involving these creatures.
Age
Ceropithian reach adult hood around 15 years of age and can love to be over 200.
Size
Ceropithians come in many distinct varieties ranging from around 4 foot all the way to over 6 and a half feet tall. Your size is Medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
You also have a climb speed of 30 feet.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common and one extra language of your choice.
