Homebrew Brownie Species Details
A brownie is a timid, fey creature that prefers to live only among nature and its own kind. Most brownies dwell in pastoral areas untouched by civilization, such as deep forests and wild lands far from other creatures.
Brownies are rarely over 18 inches tall. Their hair is always earth-toned such as brown, gray, or tawny. Most brownies prefer green or otherwise brightly colored clothing. They may be distant relatives of pixies and halflings, but this has never been proven.
Brownies avoid combat unless forced. If unable to employ any spells, brownies attack with tiny longswords.

Your fey spirit provides you immunity to sleep magic and aging effects.
Slight
Your tiny hands and small stature prevent you from holding or wearing normal equipment, however this is a boon to you when in a fight as you are harder to hit and able to hide.
Nimble
You are quick to hide and slip out of harms way, usually by hiding behind someone or something bigger. As a bonus action, you can hide in another creatures square for half cover (+2 to AC and Dex Saves) until your next turn. Performing another action (action, bonus action or reaction) ends this effect.
Fey magic
You know the Druidcraft cantrip. Once you reach 3rd level, you can cast Speak With Animals once per day. Once you reach 5th level, you can also cast the Spike Growth spell once per day. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
