Homebrew Badgerfolk Species Details

Badgerfolk are simple people. They tend to inhabit the plains and grasslands of the world making their homes in burrows. These people are known world-round for their extreme endurance and fearless hunts. Tales of Badgerfolk taking on dangerous monsters in single combat are known far and wide... mostly because the Badgerfolk usually comes out on top.

Badgerfolk Physique

Badgerfolk usually stand around two to three feet tall. They are covered in dense fur that is black on the front and white on the back. Badgerfolk have long claws that are more used for digging than for combat. This race resembles true Honey Badgers standing on their hind legs in almost every way except their intelligence and ability to speak.

Badgerfolk Lifestyle

Badgerfolk are known world-round for their wide violent streak. A Badgerfolk will rarely start a fight unless they deem it necessary but they will almost never turn down a good scrap. Because of this, badgerfolk tend to live in isolated family groups. Inside of the family groups Badgerfolk live normal lives, raising their young, going to work, and 

Badgerfolk Traits

Your warforged character has the following traits. A few of the traits give you a choice; consider how your choice reflects the purpose for which your character was built.

Alignment

While Badgerfolk can be of any alignment, they have a propensity for violence.

Tough as Nails

Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level. Additionally, you have resistance to poison damage and and advantage on saving throws against  the poisoned condition.

Keen Senses

You have advantage on perception checks based on smell and you have darkvision out to 60 feet.

Fearless

You have advantage on saving throws against being frightened.

Ability Score Increase

Your Constitution score increases by 1, and you can choose one other score to increase by 2. Alternatively, you can choose two scores to increase by 1.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common, Undercommon, and one other language of your choice.
