Homebrew Capyfolk Species Details
The Capyfolk are peaceful creatures who live in nature and in communion with the beasts around them. They have a really good precense and the stories say that having a Capyfolk come to town is a sign of better times, and when they do it, they have an innate charm and attract peaceful creatures. It's normal for cats, dogs, and other domestic creatures to get near them.
Capyfolk Traits
As a Capyfolk, you gain the follwing traits:Ability Score Increase
Your Wisdom score increases by 2 and your Charisma score increases by 1.
Size
Your size is Medium or Small.
Age
Capyfolk can live up to 100 years and reach maturity around the age of 14.
Aquatic Adaptions
Capyfolk are adapted to live near water. You gain a swiming speed equal to your walking speed and you can hold your breath a number of minutes equal to five times your Consitution score.
Friendly Nature
You gain a +2 to Animal Handling checks and a +1 to Persuasion checks.
Beast Speak
You are always under the effect of a Speak With Animals spell.
Nature Magic
You gain the Druidcraft cantrip. Once you reach level 3, you can cast the spell Animal Friendship a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. This resets after a long rest. Once you reach level 5, you can cast the spell Conjure Animals once per long rest.
