Homebrew Architects Species Details
The Architects are ancient aliens who once traveled across the universe 1000 years ago. They are comprised of both organic and synthetic components and are capable of communicating telepathically. through this psychic ability, they are capable of forming hive minds and find this state of consciousness more efficient.
Their physical bodies are quadrupedal with a third set of limbs being attached to a torso, similar to a centaur. While their face, if you can call it that, lacks most features that a human would consider normal, the glowing purple visage has the hint of what appears to be eyes and distinct horns on the sides of its head. The biological arms are not often used for precision work and architects usually use robotic arms that float detached from their bodies like mage hands.
Architects Traits
The Archetects are psychic beings who have augmented their biology with technology. This has lead to an interesting set of racial traits...Blink
The architects are also able to teleport sort distances (20 feet) like a blink dog. This ability makes up for their slower movement abilities (10 feet movement speed).
There are a few rules that must be followed while blinking:
1. The architect must have line of sight to the target
2. There must be ground for the architect to stand on (No teleporting directly up into the air)
3. All obstacles in the way of the blink are ignored but obstacles that are at the destination are not.
Superior Intellect
Your character gets a +2 to in and a +1 to wisdom
Mechanical Arms
Architects have six robotic arms that orbit around them. These arms act as mage hands that remain close to the organism that they are attached to. Two of the arms are fitted with normal hands. Two of the arms are fitted with devices that are capable of Zero G manipulation (Telekinesis on up to large size objects that can be freely moved). The final two arms appear to be for precise work (Talk to your DM about what they are used for). An architect can temporarily bond their arms to a willing organism, this is normally done in sets of two.
