Homebrew Athasian Halfling Species Details

Halflings are an uncommon but not rare sight in The Tablelands; most halflings are found in the jungle ridge west of the Ringing Mountains, living in cannibalistic tribes that prey upon the rare traveler that is able to pass through the mountain range. They are known for having a feral ferociousness when angry, though years in the city states or the surrounding settlements tend to teach halflings to temper their rage until more socially appropriate times to murder someone.

Athasian Halfling Traits

Your halfling character has a number of traits in common with all other halflings.

Size

Halflings average about 3 feet tall and weigh about 40 pounds. Your size is Small.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 25 feet.

Fury of the Small

When you damage a creature with an attack or a spell and the creature's size is larger than yours, you can cause the attack or spell to deal extra damage to the creature. The extra damage equals your level. Once you use this trait, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Nimble Escape

You can take the Disengage or Hide action as a bonus action on each of your turns.

Brave

You have advantage on saving throws against being frightened.
