Homebrew Crysalin Species Details

Crysalin originally hail from a world of high magic and are born suffused with magical power, so every Crysalin knows how to use a little magic, and most dedicate themselves to a spellcasting path. Physically they look similar to half-elves - and perhaps they come from the same Fey ancestry as elves - but are distinct creatures. Their world has a sun that does not move in the sky, causing half the world to be constantly in daylight while the other half is constantly night.

Crysalin Traits

Due to your racial connections with the Fey, your Crysalin have a number of magical traits.

Ability Score Increase

Your Wisdom and Charisma scores increase by 1 each.

Type

You count as either Humanoid or Fey for any effect that is capable of targeting either creature type.

Crysalin Magic

You learn the Prestidigitation cantrip. Choose one 1st-level spell from the sorcerer or warlock spell list. Using this trait, you can cast the spell once at its lowest level, and must finish a long rest before you can cast it in this way again. If you have the ability to cast spells, you can also spend spell slots to cast this spell as well. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

You gain proficiency with the Arcana skill.
