Homebrew Whithan Species Details

Varish gripped the handle of his blade, tailored for his large padded fingers. Wind whistled through the the pines, fresh snow kicked up from the boughs above, catching the sunset over the peaks. He turned his long muzzle up to the air, he could smell the other tribe nearby like a heavy musk between the world of scents. He made a dash, his long backwards legs springing him over the rocks and deep furrows of snow. They gave themselves away, yips and howls. He had been spotted, his dash turned mad. He used his arms to spring further and hard, his lupin body propelling him faster than any man could tread down mountains. The tribe thundered behind him, a pack of 8 or 9 black furred hunters, like him. Varish, twisted around the woods to change directions suddenly. He sprang across the the wood, the ground giving out from under him. He gave a booming howl, the mountain responding suddenly with a crack as the snow around them gave way in wave over them.

With heads of wolves, the whithan are loyal creatures that have keen intelligence and incredible senses. They are fighters, and live by a standard of honor in which they hold dear. It is highly unlikely that a whithan will betray this moral code.

 

Unwavering Loyalty

Whithans would not betray their leader or group, even if it meant their death. Whithans always travel in groups, either of their own kind or with other adventurers. Whithans tend to gravitate toward groups that are good, however, having a strong moral compass.

Whithans aren’t afraid of much. They will travel to places unknown for the sake of their group or organization. They are kindly to all, unless they have been hurt by a specific race or creature. Once you have become friends with a whithan, they are friends for life. They are trusting creatures, and love companionship.
