Homebrew Animated (Disney) Duck Species Details

Animated Ducks hail from the plane of Disneyrealm. This realm hosts an infinite variety of cartoon human and talkings animals. Disneyrealm is a plane of existence saturated with magic, music, wonder, and adventure. Heroes and villains alike thrive in this vast universe of animated drawings and artwork. Landscapes appear as paintings. Plants grow faces. Animals talk. And humans periodically break out in song.  As a realm full of soft magic, it is easily conceivable that any creature originating from Disneyrealm can travel through magical portals and find themselves in other planes or dimensions.

Animated Ducks appear as 4 foot tall cartoon ducks ranging in colors from stark white to the blacks and greens of Mallard ducks. As cartoons, Animated Ducks have tendencies to be neutral, chaotic, and/or good.

Animated Ducks adventure for many reasons, often to defeat the schemes of villains, explore, and rescue princesses in distress.

Animated Ducks have the following racial traits.

Cartoonish Resilience

As a cartoonish character, you are particularly agile or tough. You are capable of ducking (buh-dum-bum) and dodging any physical impact, or cushioning any heavy blows. You gain +2 to both of your Dexterity and Constitution abilities.

Squishy

As a cartoon, you have a malleable body, capable of withstanding falls from high altitudes, heavy objects falling on you, and any number of other assaults that would kill a normal person. As a result, you gain advantage on Death saving throws.

Like Water Off of a Duck’s Back

You gain Resistence to acid damage, as the liquid mostly slides off your strangely waxy exterior. In addition, you gain a swim speed equal to your walking speed.
