Homebrew Skirmisher Warforged Species Details

This is a Skirmisher warforged race that has been built in a galaxy far far away.

These are Skirmisher warforged that have been built during the Great War against the Astral Elves, The Skirmishers were built to scout the edges of battle and outmaneuver the enemies. However, at the same time, if it ever got caught in a battle it would still be able to crush its opponents with quick speed and efficiency. these machines are made entirely of metal and light metals so they can be quick and efficient, at first these machines had no sentience but over the years they grew and gave themselves sentience, after the war was over, they had become a fully conscious race, and after time the Astral Elves recognizing that the Skirmisher warforged army did not choose to fight in the war and they have sentience and they should be let free, well most of them anyway.

after they have been released most of them started joining the empire and starting their own city's in the planets, but most of them worked as mercenaries or adventurers because they have been built as warriors.

Living Steel

These Skirmisher Warforged are formed from inorganic materials only. Built from heavy and light metals. Armored plates form a protective outer shell and reinforce joints. These Warforged can share a common facial design, with a hinged jaw and crystal eyes embedded beneath a reinforced brow ridge or they can look completely different from a normal human face shape. Beyond these common elements of warforged design, the precise materials and build of a warforged vary based on the purpose for which it was designed.

Although they were manufactured, Skirmisher warforged are living humanoids. Resting, healing magic, and the Medicine skill all provide the same benefits to Skirmisher warforged that they do to other humanoids.

Skirmisher Warforged Personality

The Skirmisher warforged were built to serve and to fight. For most of their existence, Skirmisher warforged had a clearly defined function and were encouraged to focus purely on that role. Their own evolution and themselves giving themselves sentience, but many still struggle both to find a place in the post-war world and to relate to the creatures who created them.

The typical Skirmisher warforged shows little emotion. Many Skirmisher warforged embrace a concrete purpose — such as protecting allies, completing a contract, or exploring a land — and embrace this task as they once did war. However, there are Skirmisher warforged who delight in exploring their feelings, their freedom, and their relationships with others. Most Skirmisher warforged have no interest in religion, but some embrace faith and mysticism, seeking higher purpose and deeper meaning.

The typical Skirmisher warforged has a sexless body shape. Some Skirmisher warforged ignore the concept of gender entirely, while others adopt a gender identity.

The more a Skirmisher warforged develops its individuality, the more likely it is to modify its body, seeking out an artificer to customize the look of its face, limbs, and plating.
