Homebrew Bulletin Species Details

Age- Bulletin's typically live to be 80 to 100 years of age. The heart of a Bulletins functions just like a normal human heart would, but it has also been modified to pump fluid into the jet engine as well, just like a normal blood stream. Dexterity should be your highest stat modifier. 

Bulletins tend to be kind people, but can be very aggressive if they need to be. The average weight of a Bulletin is about 130lbs. Instead of standing on two legs like a normal Human would, Bulletins use their jet engine to hover one foot above the ground. Bulletins have proficiency in acrobatics and athletics. Each of your ability scores increase by one. What makes a Bulletin unique is its jet engine. The jet engine has three different gears, 1rst gear allows the player to hover, 2nd gear allows the player to fly (uses fuel points), and 3rd gear allows the player to use an attack with their jet engine. The player can use an action to change from any gear to any gear they would like. 

Jet Engine Attack (Level 3)-  1 D8 flame damage + dexterity modifier; As an action, the player launches toward their target and grabs them by the shoulders and flips their jet engine toward the target, allowing the player to blast the engine at the highest setting to burn the enemy.  

Spiked Horn Attack (Level 12)- 4 D8 damage + dexterity modifier; As an action, the player is able to attach a spike to the top of their head and ram it into their target. 

Fuel Points- At level 2, a Bulletin has 5 fuel points. Every other level a Bulletin can add one more fuel point to their maximum point score. A fuel point is used whenever the player uses their flight movement speed instead of their normal speed. Hovering does not count as flight movement for this race, meaning that fuel points are not used while a Bulletin is hovering. All fuel points are regained at the end of a long rest. (Level 4=6, Level 6=7, Level 8=8, Level 10=9, Level 12=10, Level 14=11, Level 16=12, Level 18=13, Level 20=14)   

Bulletin Traits

Your Bulletin character has an assortment of abilities, including a +1 to all ability scores, advantage on dexterity saving throws, resistant to fire damage, proficiency with finesse weapons, and can have medium armor.
