Homebrew Augmented Species Details
The augmented are creatures that have replaced parts of the body with mechanical and magical parts—some sort of an arcane cyborg. The origin of these parts is many and varied, as is their nature: anything from living magic to mechanical means is possible, based on the setting and character. These provide bonuses that replace or augment the default features of your race selection
Intentionally Created
Almost all augmented are intentionally created—not always by the intentions of the individual, but almost always by the intention of someone. This often leaves open the question of why, and for what purpose. Many of them are created for war, some as bizarre experiments, some to restore missing pieces, sometimes they had a choice in the process, and some will insist that they never asked for it.
