Homebrew Aionid Species Details
Since the beginning of all time, the Aionids have served Aion, guardian of time, and fought against external forces of good and evil in order to purify Aeterna, the temporal river, from all temporal paradoxes and anomalies that Chaos has defiled it with. As the true agents of time, they continue to control the flow of the Aeterna and channel its chronomantic powers in order to reach Infinitum.
Aion's aasimar progenies and his many angelic followers are more commonly known as the Aionids. They share the purpose of solving the last temporal paradox in the river of time, therefore creating Infinitum, also known as true time. The solution of one paradox can sometimes lead to a new paradox or worse, a temporal anomaly. The latter is a manifestation of Chaos, the antithesis of Aion, a primordial being who pursues to disrupt the regulation of time and prevent Infinitum from ever happening. Chaos' followers, the Anarkhs, are known to regularly invade Aeterna in order to eradicate as many Aionids as possible and further delay the restoration of the river of time. Protecting Aeterna and cleansing the river of time of further anomalies is therefore the sworn duty of every Aionid.
Aionid Traits
Maintaining the ebb and flow of time itself has a variety of consequences for your Aionid character.Ability Score Increase
Your Constitution score increases by 1.
Age
As the curators of time, Aionids are immune to the decaying effects of it on their body. Therefore, an Aionid cannot die of old age or by any other natural means. Aionids rarely create offspring, only when their numbers are in danger of dwindling down due to foreign invasions or other unforeseen events, they will procreate. A young Aionid is then schooled by an Archon mentor until the age of 20, at which point the young Aionid is considered mature and dedicates themselves to one of the three divisions.

Temporal Rebirth
You can choose to come back to life with 1 hit point at any time between one minute after dying and within an hour of dying, as long as your body and soul have not been destroyed entirely. You cannot perceive anything during this time except for the passage of time up until the hour ends. When you use this trait, your body reverts to the state it was in at the end of your previous long rest, often undergoing a change of personality, although your memories, skills, and abilities remain. After using this trait, you have a -4 penalty to all attack rolls, saving throws and ability checks. Every time you finish a long rest, the penalty is reduced by 1 until it disappears. While the penalty is applied, any loss of limbs or severed body members is slowly restored, unless the severed part is in good condition and held in the correct place, in which case the limb is instantly reconnected to your body. You cannot use this trait again until the penalty has disappeared.
