Homebrew Descendant of Cain Species Details

And now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. When you work the ground, it shall no longer yield to you its strength. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth.” Then the Lord said to him, “Not so! If anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord put a mark on Cain, lest any who found him should attack him.

Disclaimer: This race is inspired by the character Cain from the biblical story of Genesis.

Your blood links heavily to Cain, the father of murder. As a result, you find that you struggle to suppress your rage and are prone to violent outbursts, even the slightest insult can cause you to explode.

The Mark of Cain

Celestials who know of your nature are unlikely to aid you in your adventure unless you prove yourself useful or better than evil, additionally, the spell detect evil and good can identify you as a descendant of Cain (DM can dismiss this) and may cause them to distrust you.

Descendant of Cain Traits

Your blood is tainted by evil, granting you the following traits

Ability Score Increase

You can increase any ability score by 2, and any different ability score increases by 1.

Age

You are a descendant of some of the first humans, though their mystical blood extends your life slightly. You mature at the same rate as humans, reaching adulthood around your late teens. Though you stop aging at any point after you become an adult and live a little over 150 years.

Size

Descendants like you vary widely in height and build, from barely 5 feet to well over 6 feet tall.  Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Tainted Bloodline

You gain proficiency in the Intimidation skill. Additionally, you gain the ability to cast the cause fear once per long rest using Charisma as your spellcasting ability.

Note. I don't have the cause fear spell on dnd beyond so I had to improvise, if you have Xanathar's Guide to Everything then you can choose it. If not then you'll have to make a homebrew spell of cause fear.

Relentless Aggression

When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. You can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest. Additionally, as a bonus action, you can move up to your speed toward an enemy of your choice that you can see or hear. You must end this move closer to the enemy than you started.

Savage Attacker

When you score a critical hit with a melee weapon attack, you can roll one of the weapon’s damage dice one additional time and add it to the extra damage of the critical hit. Additionally, you are able to effectively kill with anything, even when you have to improvise or use your bare hands. You gain proficiency with improvised weapons and your unarmed strike becomes 1d4 plus your strength modifier.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common, Abyssal, and Infernal.
