Homebrew Aberrant Species Details
"Trekking the blinking hallways, a man with pale white skin stretched across a fleshless skull, aberrant growths lurking beneath his fingertips waiting to strike. He feels as though he is mere inches from finding his true origins."
Alienfolk
Aberrants are humanoids who had, over the years from exposure to alien forces to take on extraterrestrial appearances. Causing their skin to become pale and drawn tight across their bones, alien growths lurk deep inside their bodies, waiting to be released.
Pariahs
Instead of being accepted by other races, they were shunned for their Monstrosity appearances and forced to live in shadowy parts of the world. Most fall to the expectations of other races and resent them for their hate, but some do rise to become well known and respected.
Aberrant Traits
Aberrants have a very different way of physiology compared to other races, allowing them to be versatile on whatever they wish to do.Ability Score Increase
You increase two ability scores of your choice by one.
Age
Aberrants typically tend to live for up to 300 years, maturing at the age of 20.
Alignment
Aberrants typically tend towards Chaotic alignments, leaning towards evil tendencies from their exiles.
Darkvision
You have darkvision out to a range of 60ft. colors appear as shades of gray and you have disadvantage on perception checks made in the dark.
Alien Presence
Starting at 3rd level, you gain access to an alien presence within you. As an action, you can release this power. Each creature of your choice within 20ft of you must make a DC wisdom Save equal to your highest modifier between wisdom, intelligence, and charisma plus your proficiency bonus plus 8. On a fail, they take 1d6 psychic damage and are pushed 10ft away from you prone.
Once you use this feature, you can do so no longer until you take a long rest. The damage increases to 2d6 at 6th level, 3d6 at 9th and 4d6 at 12th.
