Homebrew Draco Species Details

They are the heirs of dragonkind. The vestiges of their ancestors great magic thrums through their veins and seeps into all they touch. I see the greatness of those that came before them in their potential and drive.

-Wres'holo

The dragon-men of the horde wastes were created long ago through blasphemous ritual cast upon cursed eggs. These eggs hatched into humanoid dragon-like creatures, diminished and twisted reflections of their draconic parents. Yet a glimmer of the greatness of their blood remains.

Blood of Dragons

Though originally intended to be a slave race to a destructive and ambitious Dragonlord, their fates were ultimately left unwritten. Before they could be utilized the Golden Wyrm challenged Teronax to mortal combat, defeating the Draco's creator and leaving them without direction or purpose. Born with the innate understanding of the draconic language, they were able to band together into clans who would eventually come to rove across the wastes as nomads and drifters. Few clans settled in those dark times, with famine and raids being common among the desperate groups.

One among them rose to lead them into a new ear of civilization. A white Draco led his clan to the Pearl Coast with a dream to be something greater than they were. He built and directed, defended and led. Through his life he went on to band together many clans and establish the settlement that would go on to become the great white city of Metanon. In the final years of his life he established a concordat with the dwarven city-state of Kharak, allowing his people to benefit and learn from the great craftsmen of the mountain. This ensured the legacy of his people, and earned them a place on the great stage of the world.

One Race, Many Colors

The Draco come in a startling variety of shades and colors. Rainbows of chromatic and metallic hues fill their streets with a kaleidoscopic dance of color. Dracos of the same clan tend to be of the same scale color, though there is always the possibility that a child will be born to a color different from either parent. Such Dracos might be seen as misfits in their respective clans or families, but often quickly find solace in friends outside of their immediate kin. Some clans strictly adhere to a color purity, arranging marriages in order to keep a uniform scale color. Other clans are a rainbow, with little regard to color or temperament.
