Homebrew Akarado Offspring (AKA) Species Details
A humanoid arachnid birthed by a legendary beast. They often keep to themselves and avoid civilization. Some members of the species have been able to live peacefully with others. Natural enemies of avians, the two have never been seen to get along in the short time the AKA's have been around. If in an unclaimed area, the two will fight to the death for ownership of the land. Many intellectuals hunt and capture the arachnids to study and observe them.
Akarado Offspring (AKA) Traits
This species shares many traits with its mother, Akarado. A massive radiant spider able to consume entire forests at a time.Natural Hydraulics
Spiders are often able to catch predators and prey off guard with ease due to their blood and lack of bones. With those natural restrictions removed, your limbs are free to move however you please. Like a spider, your blood functions differently than a normal creature. Yours allows you to bend and move limbs in all directions.
Appendage Assistance
Your back legs can be unfurled and used to climb a multitude of different terrain. Your blood allows you to keep your legs curled up and tight and against your back without discomfort. If attacked while climbing however, you'll be knocked off the surface you were climbing. You still have a chance to land on your feet however.
Slik Head
Most spiders have poor eyesight and rely on vibrations to locate prey. However, since your head is made of silk, you don't have eyes. Your organs are located throughout your abdomen and torso.
Kicking Hairs
Your hairs make you weaker to fire than most. Although, you've learned how to use your flammable hairs to your advantage. Should Someone be foolish enough to get within an arms reach, they are able to be covered in hairs.
Age
It is theorized the average AKA can live anywhere between 20 and 40 years old. They are assumed to reach maturity before age 10.
Alignment
If someone or something were to enter its web, it will try and kill without hesitation. If the creature is too much to handle, the AKA will run. If the caught creature is incapable of defending itself, the AKA will kill them as they would any other prey item. However, someone cannot bring themselves to be this heartless and instead help the victim. Even if it means the AKA must fight another of its kind.
Size
Most male AKA's stand around 5'5" while most females stand around 5'9". The smallest and AKA has been is around 4'3" while the tallest is roughly 6'8".
Languages
Not very vocal, this species has no real need for a language. But they have adapted Silktongue from Akarado. A combination of hissing and whistling is used by AKA's to communicate with each other. The AKA's have taught themselves Common so they can mock and insult most prey they catch in their webs.
