Homebrew Couatlian Species Details
When the rare coupling of a humanoid and a polymorphed Couatl occurs, there is a fragment of a chance that a miracle will occur. This miracle will grow to be known as a Couatlian. often mistaken for colourful dragonborn, their long, serpentine tails and illustrious feathered wings show their celestial nature. Their colours match their Couatl parent, usually light greens and blues, with feathers that shine like golden sunlight. Venerated as wise and friendly, they often become healers, teachers and protectors, taking on the duties or tasks followed by their parentage. While stalwart and brave in the face of evil and injustice, rarely backing down from a fight, they usually prefer to come to a more peaceful conclusion. In combat they can be vicious and deadly, grabbing creatures in their long tails and dragging them into the sky, dropping them to the hard ground below. Their minds make them daunting opponents as well, their thoughts being unreadable and their location hidden, even by powerful magic.
